Hamlet (1990)

D-

Synopsis

A prince seeks revenge on his uncle for the death of his father.

Review

Oh so bad. The acting, pretty bleh, and it's too short to be doing the exquisite play on which it's based any justice. So much is not shown, and the entire character of Fortinbras is omitted. Who becomes king at the end? Horatio? And you really don't get the sense of bond between Hamlet and Horatio that there should be. Not enough time for proper character development. And Mel Gibson looks kinda weird with the blonde.
